I had an amazing stay at Homewood Suites in Charleston! The cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms really stood out, but the highlight was definitely the friendly staff, especially Whitt, who went above and beyond to help us. While the location was great for exploring, the cost felt a bit high considering parking fees and some minor wear in the room. Overall, it was a nice experience that I would recommend!

Rooms
9.0
My room was huge, really clean, and had ceiling fans, which I loved! It was perfect for my needs, especially with a kitchenette available. Just a few signs of wear like a soggy couch, but overall, comfy.
Service
10.0
The staff were super friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Whitt in particular made our stay so much more enjoyable with his suggestions and warm conversations. Just a couple of times, the front desk felt a bit less welcoming.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located near King Street and other attractions, making it easy to explore. It's a bit of a walk to some historic sites, but still manageable. I felt safe in the area, too.
Dining
8.0
The free breakfast had a nice variety, with hot food changes every day. It was a step up from the usual hotel fare, which I appreciated. Just wish there were more options for kids.
Facilities
7.0
Having on-site laundry was super handy for our extended trip. The fitness facilities were a nice touch too, allowing guests to keep up with workouts while away. The parking was a bit pricey, though.

7.2/10

My stay at Homewood Suites By Hilton Charleston Historic District was quite disappointing. On one hand, the friendly staff and great breakfast options were positives, but I faced several significant issues, including a lack of basic housekeeping and major cleanliness problems in my room. Overall, the service and maintenance fell short of expectations, making this a less than satisfying experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room had a convenient layout but was not cleaned properly. There were issues with missing toilet paper and a pair of dirty women's underwear found upon my arrival in the new room, which was unacceptable.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly, my experience with housekeeping and the front desk was frustrating. I had to constantly ask for basic necessities like toilet paper, and there was poor communication regarding my requests.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located reasonably close to the historic district, but I needed to rely on transportation to reach the main attractions, which was inconvenient.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was a highlight with its variety and quality, making mornings a bit more enjoyable despite the other issues I encountered during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
The amenities in the hotel were adequate, but there were some maintenance issues like the broken faucet that were not promptly addressed.

5.8/10

My stay at Homewood Suites was quite disappointing. while the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs, the overall condition of the hotel was lacking. The first room I was given had a strong, unpleasant smell, and after switching rooms, I still encountered similar issues. Breakfast was decent, but overcrowded at times, and I felt the hotel could benefit from better housekeeping. It's a great location, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were unfortunately dingy and lacked cleanliness during my stay. I had to request a room change due to a strong odor and found the second room still not meeting expectations. The bedding was a hot mess, constantly needing to be remade, and the furnishings were quite dated.
Service
5.0
While the staff was genuinely friendly and eager to assist, they were clearly understaffed. I had to request additional towels several times and even go down to the front desk for basic necessities like trash bags. Their efforts were appreciated, but the service structure left much to be desired.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient, just a few blocks from King Street and various attractions. being able to walk to restaurants and shops was definitely a plus. However, the surrounding area felt a bit unsafe due to a vacant lot nearby.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, offering a variety of options, but the chaos during busier times made it hard to enjoy. one morning there was hardly any food available as it ran out quickly, and I skipped breakfast on another day due to the crowd.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like the fitness center were available, but I didn't get much use out of them. the valet service was mandatory and added unexpected costs. The laundry facilities were an advantage for longer stays, but the overall upkeep of the hotel was concerning.

My stay at Homewood Suites By Hilton Charleston Historic District left me feeling quite disappointed. While I appreciated the hotel’s great location near local attractions and the comfortable breakfast offerings, I encountered multiple issues that made my experience less than ideal. The cleanliness of my room was questionable and the lack of housekeeping services contributed significantly to my frustration.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but had stained carpets and a musty odor. I was expecting something fresher from a Hilton hotel. Additionally, I found the sofa bed unusable for a decent night's sleep.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, the service was lacking. Housekeeping did not replenish towels or clean the room daily, which was frustrating. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to request basic items.
Location
8.0
The hotel’s location was a strong point, as it was conveniently situated close to downtown attractions and easy access to public transport. This made exploring Charleston quite easy.
Dining

The breakfast options were decent and varied, but the area quickly became crowded and chaotic, which detracted from the experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed dated; the laundry options were good, but the hotel felt understaffed. Valet service was slow due to lack of personnel.

I had a comfortable stay at Homewood Suites By Hilton Charleston Historic District, enjoying its fantastic location close to King Street and various attractions. The cleanliness and friendly staff stood out, and I appreciated the spaciousness of my room, though it felt a bit dim due to limited windows. The breakfast was a nice addition, while parking was expensive; I found a cheaper option nearby. Overall, it offered decent value for my trip.

My 2 queen bed suite was clean and comfortable, but it felt a bit dark due to having windows only in the bedroom.
